The home study is one of your first steps when adopting a child, outside of educating yourself regarding the complexities of adoption. This time is filled with all sorts of emotions.

We, at Saving Grace, cannot stress enough the importance behind education. You need to process through, acknowledge, and most importantly, accept what you are comfortable with when thinking about adopting.
We provide you with different educational topics ranging from substance exposure, interracial adoption, LGBTQIA2S, preventing adoption disruptions, helping children heal from past traumas, coping with infertility, and how to navigate different levels of communication with the birth/first family.
We feel it is important to discuss adoption trauma and what this may look like for your child. You will receive constant guidance and support as you grow your knowledge. All education is provided by a licensed clinical social worker who is adopted and has been a birth/first parent for 17 years. Again, no question is a bad question! Learning allows us to remain child-centered!
Saving Grace will be with you from the beginning, through adoption finalization, and after adoption should you need us. Our team works with adoption attorneys, agencies, home study providers, adoption competent counselors, and reproductive, perinatal, and maternal mental health specialists. We pride ourselves on the consistent professional relationships that we have with each. Know that you are in good hands as you gain the knowledge and tools that are necessary when making the decision to adopt.

We can help with adoption therapy services for any family member within the adoption constellation.
This includes parents, children, grandparents, etc.! These services are provided virtually through a HIPAA secure platform. We are licensed to provide adoption therapy services for residents who live in Florida. If you are a family who lives outside of Florida, we are more than happy to provide you with names of adoption competent therapists in your state.
We accept Medicare, Cigna, Optum, Aetna, Oxford, Oscar, and United Health. We also accept self-pay clients.
